Peter D. Stevens

Peter Dunsmore Stevens, MD

The late Peter Dunsmore Stevens, MD was the director of endoscopy at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center and associate professor of clinical medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is recognized as one of the country's premier interventional endoscopists, who was responsible for helping to develop minimally invasive techniques for treating pancreatic and biliary diseases.  Additionally, he pioneered single-operator cholangioscopy, making the technique a standard of care.  Dr. Stevens was also the first gastroenterologist in New York to assist in performing natural orifice translumenal endoscopic surgery® (NOTES®).

It is with great honor that the Society for Innovation in Endoscopy offers this course in memory of Dr. Stevens with the dedicated focus to provide advanced education to the GI community.
